Tulips For Ukraine: Tote Bag and Charity Auction

In case you haven’t seen it yet, Sheepberry is hosting a charity auction to raise funds for the Ukraine Red Cross to provide humanitarian aid to refugees and citizens of Ukraine. 10% of my Etsy profits from March will be donated as well. I thought I would share more about my thought process and my inspiration. Check out the original posts about the auction with the links below.

Since the start of the war in Ukraine, I put a lot of thought into how Sheepberry could help. I had just learned to make the Tulip Granny Square by Wilmade to make a summery poncho, and just a couple of days later, I saw a story on the news about Romanian first-responders greeting refugees at the border with tulips. It suddenly dawned on me that I could give some tulips to Ukraine myself. I immediately started gathering yarn and feverously crocheting the Tulips for Ukraine Tote Bag. I made the tulips in the squares in the colors of Ukraine, blue and yellow.

100% of profits from the auction will go directly to the Ukraine Red Cross to aid in humanitarian efforts

The auction is live on eBay right now and ends on Sunday, March 20th at noon CST. If you can’t afford to bid, please consider donating to the Ukraine Red Cross. If you can’t donate at all, that’s OK! You can share the auction with a friend that might be interested! My Etsy shop is also donating 10% of profits to the Ukraine Red Cross until the end of March, so if you got outbid, you can still help me raise funds!
